Cookie Policy
Last updated: 18 August 2026
1. What this covers
This notice explains cookies, local storage, pixels, and similar tags on Ad Pretzel sites. It works with the Privacy Policy. Quebec’s Law 25 requires clear information and, for non-essential tags, consent.
2. Your choice
On the first visit we ask you to accept all tags or keep essential only. We store that choice in local storage under adpretzel_cookie_consent. You can clear site data in your browser to see the banner again. Essential storage is required for the site to remember language, theme, security, and a logged-in session.
3. Essential and functional
- Language (adpretzel_locale) so the site stays in EN, FR, ES, or IT.
- Theme (light or dark).
- Cookie consent record.
- Authentication cookies or tokens for dashboard, Pretzel OS, and client portals.
- Security and spam controls on forms (including a hidden honeypot field that is not stored if you are human).
These do not require the marketing banner. Blocking them may break login, language, or forms.
4. Analytics and advertising (only if you accept all)
If you accept all, we load Google Tag Manager (GTM-P7XFQHD). GTM may then load Google Analytics, Google Ads, Meta (Facebook/Instagram) pixels, and similar tags we configure for measuring campaigns. Those vendors set their own cookies. Their policies apply to that processing.
Vercel Analytics may also run after accept-all. It is designed to avoid advertising cookies and to aggregate traffic. It still counts as optional measurement here.
5. Email and Brevo
Transactional and marketing email is sent through Brevo. That is not a website cookie. Open and click tracking in mail uses Brevo’s systems under our Privacy Policy and CASL rules. Unsubscribe links in marketing mail stop those campaigns.
6. Schema.org structured data
JSON-LD on our pages (Organization, WebSite, and similar) is public business markup for search engines. It is not a cookie, not a pixel, and not used to identify you as a visitor.
7. AI tools
AI features run on the server when staff or a client uses them. They are not cookies. Data sent to models is described in the Privacy Policy.
8. Third-party embeds
If a page embeds a video, map, payment form, or social post, that third party may set cookies when you interact with the embed. Stripe checkout, Google Maps, and social networks are examples.
9. How long
- Session: until the browser closes.
- Consent and language: until you clear them or we rotate the key.
- Auth: until you sign out or the session expires.
- GTM vendor cookies: set by those vendors, often 1 to 24 months.
10. Browser controls
- Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies
- Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies
- Safari: Settings → Privacy → Manage Website Data
- Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions
Industry opt-outs such as YourAdChoices may also limit some advertising cookies. Do Not Track is not consistently honoured by all vendors.
